SB audigy 2 doesnt work, please help..

I had a p4p800 deluxe mobo and I was using the onboard audio, but I recently switched to a ic7-g board and I'm trying to get sound out of my audigy2 card.

When I turn on the computer and click admin (the only profile) from the xp pro "choose profile" screen, my desktop shows up and the default windows startup sound starts to play but gets cut off after half a second. After that, I don't get any sound at all. Do you guys have any ideas on how I should start troubleshooting this thing?

Your help will be greatly appreciated. 🙂
 
try a different pci slot
also uninstall and reinstall the drivers
and i recommend doing all this while yur system is not overclocked, just in case 🙂
good luck, also make sure yur pci/agp frequencies/ratios are locked in the bios, and that your pci latency is within acceptable range (32-36 seems right for me)

make sure your speakers are plugged in the right holes also, which i'm sure you've done

check for irq conflicts if things still don't work
