ok.. what's the deal. I just started to get fired up about this project and converted 2 computers over and now it seems it may be a total scam. What's up?

Yes, definitely read the comments section. The responses demonstrate just how biased and sloppy the article is.

The thing about Slashdot in the past months is that they're more intent on picking up tidbits about a news story and publishing the entire story first. This, of course, makes them look foolish when the tidbits are completely misleading and the overall picture dismisses any sort of integrity in their assertions.

That was an interesting read.. but for now, my cycles will stay in the current RC5 project until its completion - then I'll look at other projects. 🙂
