Stopped by the body shop to clean it out. This pic makes me sad. :(

Long story short... My wife was the only one in the car. No serious injuries, but a lot of bumps and bruises. The crumple zones, seat belts, and air bags did their job. The car is totaled (as I'm sure is the TC that hit it.)

It was a 2014 with less than 11k on it. Insurance company treated us well, and gave us a very fair settlement.

Will be getting another 6 soon.

Sucks, but at least she died in battle. Mine just rusted until it was no longer roadworthy. Rip my 1989 Mazda 626. You left this world too soon.

1989?, I'd say you got your $$'s worth out of it. Do you live in an area that salts the road a lot?, if so that's what probably got it..

Looks like it will provide a lot of quality used parts in the future, that car is was too young for crush-bait..

I like that color better. I tend to avoid cars that are the color of asphalt (why I drive a red one).

That's why my wife wanted a different color than the dark gray one that was totaled... The blue is more likely to be seen than dark gray.

Hey Wingznut, is that the Blue Reflex Mica color? How do you like the 6? I just test drove it this morning and while it's not the fastest, I thought it handled great. What packages would you recommend and which trim?

Yes, that is Blue Reflex Mica. And I love it. This is our second (as I mentioned in the original post), simply because it's a very very well engineered car. Imho, there isn't a better touring sedan in this price range.

Yeah, the engine isn't high horsepower. But considering the size and mpg, it's certainly more than adequate. And you're right, handling is quite nice. They struck an excellent balance between firm handling and a comfortable ride. (Some reviewers say that the ride is too firm, but I think it's pretty much perfect... Any softer would detract too much from the handling.)

Really the ONLY thing I think the car is lacking is in the infotainment center. Compared to others, the screen is a bit small, and it just feels dated. Sure, it pretty much does what you would expect it too. But it seems it could've been better.

As for packages, it completely depends on the features vs the price. Our first was a Touring edition, and this one is a Grand Touring. You'll just have to look at the list of options, and decide which package fits your budget.
