Huh? Cam Newton, Dante Culpepper and the Rapist are a just a few players bigger than Tebow that have run and rolled over defenders.

I'm in NC.

I watch all the Panther's games. Cam Newton rarely takes a hit. He's big and strong enough to make some yardage up the middle, but he typically plays it much smarter. I'm sure the coaches want him to play it safe, we got no offense w/o him.

A guy who was never supposed to play qb in the nfl has taken his team to the divisional playoffs.

It a huge story. It's the biggest story in sports.

Excuse me there bandwagoner, it's a wild card game.

So, you gonna be a giant pussy?

No it's not. Wildcats games were last weekend.

Gimme Vegas spread for even money and an even bet. Broncos are supposed to lose.

If not then let's do a straight win bet with odds.

You said Broncos will win with three points, I'll take that.

Who cares what vegas says, what you fanwagons say are more important, just freaking win!

They suck.

but seriously--they were clicking with Campbell and McFadden. But Campbell went down, replaced by Palmer--turned out decent enough.

But the expected loss of the oft-injured McFadden seriously hurt them. Bush has emerged as quite the beast, though.

In the end, even the iron foot of the great polish kicker, S. Janikowski, couldn't connect on enough 60 yarders to compensate for poor coaching.

Imma colts fan. But I love a good underdog, and broncos are the biggest underdog this weekend by a long margin.

I care what Vegas says because you can play it where you can't lose

I'm no sucker.

I immediately pm'ed spidey offering him 20 to 1 odds on that bet and offering to put my (rather large!) end of it in any form of escrow he wished, since to make as little as $100 I'd have to put up $2,000.

I've made $500 off spidey before and am always eager for more. ;)

See post #900.

He pm'ed me back pretending not to know what I was talking about.

You gotta' love spidey. He regularly brings the earnestly weird :p

Thanks. I didn't have the energy to do this myself, but a blanket statement by the poster you were responding to like the one below begged to be shown up for the shallow bigotry it was:

I apologize for the idiotic blanket statement. It was not meant to be towards all. It was meant mostly for the list of highly touted, higher draft pick QBs that I listed.

I just don't see the improvement from year to year from those highly touted black QBs that we've seen recently (There are plenty of white QBs that don't either) It was a dumb statement, but I was referring to what separates Tebow from Kordell. Kordell was way more talented but I never saw a dedication to improving himself and not relying on natural talents. We all know Tebows work ethic.....whether he can actually make it work and improve is a different story.

Cam Newton is a beast and is breaking the mold for me. He seems to have the desire and dedication to become elite (or to prove people wrong) rather than simply good.

Anyways, dumb post by me.....not meant to be generalized.

I was fairly impressed with how fast Vick got back into the swing of things. After his "time off" I thought he'd be doomed to be a back up the rest of his life. He stepped up and got better quickly though. He also plateaued quickly, but it was still more than I expected.

Vick did awesome when he came back......and I agree that he has plateaued. I'd like to seem him improve on reading defenses. He just takes way too many hits and he's not that big.

You are trying to back off it by saying it was just a blanket statement, but you listed very specific QBs. If you are going to try and use the blanket statement defense, then don't point out individuals that you are throwing under your bus. I'd like for you to give reasons why you think the QBs that you listed never tried to improve.

Also FYI, Kordell had to completely revamp his gameplay style from college to the pros, which is something that Tebow has not had to do. If you look at footage of Kordell from college and Kordell in his second year with the Steelers, he had changed. If you look at Tebow at Florida and Tebow now, most of his mechanics are the same. This is the reason why people constantly point out that his mechanics are still horrible everytime they watch him play.

Why are your Tebows arranged in the shape of the letter L? One to represent their loss to the Patriots in the regular season, and another to represent their coming loss in the postseason?
