Ok - the comparison about the season with Cassell and the Manning/Colts situation...is nothing but the dumbest sports post I've seen in weeks on here - and that is saying something.

Matt Cassell -was unknown, but given the fact that he's now a starter on another NFL team, and in fact played in the pro-bowl last year - the guy can play.

The QB's the Colts brought in when Manning went out? A retired Kerry Collins - who lasted, what, 2 games? Curtis Painter? Dan Orlovsky?

All this tells you is that the Colts had really shitty backup QB's, the Patriots had a future NFL starter as a backup - period.

Brady is every bit as good and as important to his team as Manning is.

Put Cassel in with the current team and he'd probably go 3-13. The team that Cassel went 11-5 with was pretty stacked and still a defensive powerhouse.

Fact: God loves Brady more than Tebow.


Brady is the greatest QB to ever play the game, everyone just needs to accept that and we should be stoked we've been able to see him play live.

Huh? did you watch the game?, he did EXACTLY what a QB is supposed to, drove them for the go-ahead score with 2:30 left on the clock, at that point the defense should make a stop, first Asante Samuel let an INT go through his hands then the incredible "helmet catch" play. Given how well the Giant's defense was pressuring/ sacking Brady there was no way he or any QB was gonna hang 30 points on them. I don't mean to be rude but you should educate yourself more on how a game develops rather than blurt out "Brady blew the SB"

Tuck rule, yep, an iffy call went in out favor but the Raiders just needed one first down to win and they didn't get it done. I LOL when I still read some Raiders players ring out "They stole our SB!!", right, that's assuming if they beat NE they would have beaten Pitt in Pitt AND beat the prolific Rams offense in the SB. No one really knows how much the videos helped the Pats, teams routinely change defensive signals but it surely brought shame to the entire organization, dumb idea by BB. Since they went 16-0 in the following season without any illegal tapes to watch kinda sucks the idea out of "they were so good because they had tapes!". Vinatieri, clutch kicker no doubt but it was the offense that got him the opportunity to do it..

Sorry, but Cassel is not good. He's a better passer than Tebow, but he's a lot closer to that than he is to Brady.

I don't quite agree. Manning is more important and I think a better QB all else being equal, but Brady has had better coaches and generally, team around him. I'd still put Brady just behind Peyton though.

You've gotta understand the truth: many people truly believe that all Wins and Losses fall squarely on the shoulders of the QB. It doesn't matter if they only play on offense.

I put Manning and Brady on pretty much the same level. Both are amazing.

I think you need to study the NFL a little more. The '84 49ers and '85 Bears also finished the season 18-1 and unlike the Patriots, they can call themselves "champions" that season. Who gives a flying crap if the Pats were the first to finish 16-0; they didn't finish when it counted.
