Ok - the comparison about the season with Cassell and the Manning/Colts situation...is nothing but the dumbest sports post I've seen in weeks on here - and that is saying something.
Matt Cassell -was unknown, but given the fact that he's now a starter on another NFL team, and in fact played in the pro-bowl last year - the guy can play.
The QB's the Colts brought in when Manning went out? A retired Kerry Collins - who lasted, what, 2 games? Curtis Painter? Dan Orlovsky?
All this tells you is that the Colts had really shitty backup QB's, the Patriots had a future NFL starter as a backup - period.
