I don't like most of the M$ products, and I'd like to see them do business in a less predatory manner, but I can't see hating BillyBob for it. I prolly wouldn't go into business with him, but he hasn't asked me either.

It's soooo wrong when I hear someone talk negatively about Bill Gates just because he is rich. Even worse when they say he shouldn't have that much money. These people are just jealous that he has money and they don't so they want the government to step in and take it away from him.

This is America dammit and he has a right to accumulate as much wealth as he can, legally of course. He doesn't even have to share a dime with anyone if he chooses not to. Of course he does share because it's politically correct. Maybe he also does it because it is the "right" thing to do, who knows.

the sinister or "conspiracy" reason bill gates is giving so much to public schools across the world is because he wants to keep them on the MSFT side, to prevent them from switching to free linux, as there are very few public schools that i;ve ever attended that had a majority of legit WinXZY copies...

however the primary reason ppl hate bill besides him simply having the most wealth in the world is that his monopoly crushes competition, and that his products have serious flaws that occur very often (BSOD), outlook e-mail worms (every other week), browser security holes so big schwarzeneger can drive his hummer thru them...

there is no reason for HTML in e-mail, it just promotes spammers. nor should web pages have sound and crazy active X controls that give your computer over to hackers...

but it is a nice gesture that bill will be giving all his money away and leaving a drop from the bucket for his kids
