I know this is sort of selfish, but thank you for the post. It makes one think about what is important.

I hope everything goes well.

Update3: Whelp. After initially being told on Wednesday that our baby girl was going to be born that day or the next and die, my wife has moved out of Labor & Deliver and into the High Risk Pregnency unit. The doctor said the surgery was very successful and she can even get out of bed to go to the bathroom and take a shower. Talk about a complete 180. I can't even begin to describe the relief.

This is our second stint in the High Risk Pregnency Unit as we spent three weeks here during the pregnency of our first child. We're looking at a minimum of eight weeks this time. Fortunately, my boss is really cool and is going to let me work from home through next week. I'll be working from home two days a week after that. Even more fortunately, the hospital has free wireless internet access. So, I'm able to connect to work and do whatever I need. Unfortunately, they're blocking software blocks any url with the word "game" in it.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the positive thoughts and prayers. Now everyone can start placing bets on how long I keep my sanity as I try to take care of a wife in the hospital and a three-year old boy for at least the next eight weeks.

Hey good luck man.
I can't say it's going to be easy. But at least you can do it all with a lighter heart now. :)

Keep hope alive. What's meant to be will be, but I always have a hard time believing that you've gone through all that for nothing.

She'll be all the more precious to you when she's born healthy and beautiful.
