I am going to disconnect my chipset fan (ASUS A8N-SLi Deluxe), because it shounds like hell.

But first I want to know: will the chipset be fine? If NO, will it be fine if I install a chassi intake fan? If NO, what should I do?

The Zalman NB47J will generally prevent damage to the NF4 but allows the temperature to rise higher than I prefer. I experimented with several NF4 cooling methods on my VNF4 and found that even a slow fan blowing on the NB47J produces a dramatic improvement in NF4 cooling. Some cases provide sufficient air flow over the NB47J but if your case (like my Sonata) doesn't then adding a slow running 80mm or larger fan nearby will likely do the trick with no perceptible noise.

Speedfan can be configured to alarm if the fan stops or , on my board, if the temperature rises beyond a limit I set.
