I was a die hard Tintin fan when I was a kid, owned all the comic books, still have the digitized version of them. Haven't watched the movie yet, will go sometime this week.

But the title "Secret of the Unicorn" is the first part of a two part series, part two is "Red Rackham's Treasure". How did the movie handle it? did it combine both? makes no sense to leave a story in the middle. Wonder why Steven choose this title, there are so many more good one part titles that he could have gone with...

i really enjoyed this movie. It was a very entertaining and enjoyable movie. I really hope they make more. When the movie ended, I was thinking, "wait, that's it?! MOAR!! continue!!!"

Watch the early 90's TV show. Adventures of Tin Tin was one of my favorite shows growing up.

Can't wait to see the movie, obviously.

Tintin was a childhood hero for me. Explorers on the moon was my all time favorite.

At the end of the movie, the main characters set up and all but announce a sequel.

One of the minor but cool-for-me hooks going into this movie was the author's obvious and eclectic love of cars:

It combined both, and threw in a bit of the one where Haddock is first introduced as well (was it red sea sharks? or crab with the golden claws? I forget, but this was 3 books worth plus some stuff they invented).

I was disappointed - story strayed too far from the books. But the CGI did do a good job of making it _look_ like the books.

It was Crab with the Golder Claws

Well thats a bummer, i would have loved if they stayed with the original story line. But I guess it never happens...
