saw this ford with engine fire damage

This burnt sour plastic smell hits me when I was walking home yesterday and there was a tow truck and a dead Ford from an engine fire. Too bad it was put out before I saw it. I got a picture. WHere is a good place to post it? They gotta be free ofcourse

the paranoid lady didn't want anything identifiable photographed, so you can't hardly see anything beyond the engine

It was a four door and wasn't that new. probably something between 89-94

Yea i trid that bbzdd site. got a DNS not found error. Needed something quick to use so i searched on hotbot. there isnt many free picture hosting available. it took a while to find it. picturetrail was the only one i can find.

yeah, thats what i would guess also- but looking at the engine- i dont know. it dosent look *that* bad.

although, its not a great picture, and we have no idea what cuased the fire-- maybe the other side of the car is completely impailed or something.

It got towed away by a AAA flat bed tow truck. The car looked fine until I saw inside the hood. im thinking its all white cuz its already been sprayed with chem fire extenguesher. theres something dangling in front of left headlight. and yea this is the only picutre i took.

You will be the next to get towed. its the ford to get towed for engine fire and its the poor guy to get towed in ambulance for a burn on his ass. it might spit fire again

That generation of Ford Taurus and engine fires are synonymous. I've seen two of those engulfed in flames in the past few years; one on the freeway and on a residential street. Engine fires are not cool though, a fuel injector leak set the top of my Volvo's block on fire a while back. Damn car nearly burned my parent's house down... :|

I saw a mess like that in a ford bronco II. Plastic fuel line broke and deushed the motor with gas andburned to the ground..MTBE damage to the fuel line??

if i can find my pictures of my burned out car, i'll post them. entire car caught on fire starting in the engine bay. And electrical fire. I dont know what happened. hehehe, only I will ever know. happened while i was driving (if you're in Orange County, it was on Jamboree near the Tustin Marketplace). Anyways, this was like 4 years ago. The cable caught on fire and ran its way through the firewall to the rear. Got so hot the top warped in, also the asphalt it was on melted too. Car burned for a good 25-20 before any engine could get to it. Backed up traffic. Flames shooting out the windows. Entire car gutted. hehehe

did your car catch on fire because you were stupid and didn't fuse your amp's power cable at the battery? that's what it sounds like...
