Pretty boring..
Julia Stiles was o.k.
Kid was a lil weird.. but not really scary
The Dad, can't remember his name.... he sucked, his acting was very bland, a walking zombie actor. No emotion and not believable.

The actors just couldn't engage me.. I tried so hard to want to like this movie, but it had no redeeming qualities.

Overall, it was a waste of my time, and I went for free.
Go watch something else, this movie was below average. I give it 2 out of 5 stars

For the life of me, I still don't know why they remade this movie.

I guess Hollywood has run out of ideas for movies and just have to keep going back and remaking classics

Waits for the Citizen Kane remake...some big hollywood producer "We found the original citizen kane to be quite depressing so we are reimaging it with Jack Black in the lead"

Did you see the trailer for "Descent?" Bunch of hot girls go splunking and find creatures. Now that looks scary.

Sounds like a waste of my time tho. Sad, the previews made it look kinda freaky

i was thinking of seeing the movie, too. read the RT rating and it got like a 20%...no thanks.

It had the usual startling moments and is kind of scary, but nothing like The Ring. I was disturbed for weeks after that and slept with my lights on for a while. Every time I lay in bed in the dark I'd picture the girl crawling towards me.

It's not really freaky. The kid is creepy, but nothing like you'd expect from the antichrist. It's not an action horror either.
