As a side note, my wife is way more impressed by the Vette. 😉

She wouldn't look twice at the Fiat.

Maybe it was because we just came out of the exotic car showroom. My wife loved the new Ford GT, but I'm sure that will be "slightly" out of my price range. Neither one of us were that excited about the Vette, which I expected to be much more excited about it after seeing it in person. Not the case. And I really wanted to like it.

If you have swirl mark then you are washing and drying it the wrong way.

🙄 Whatever... good luck with your nightmare paint color. You can pretty much forget about ever taking it to any automatic car wash or having the dealer wash it for you either.

Well, technically, if you're concerned about swirls in your paint those are two of the top places to avoid for car washes 😛

Of course it was an old lady driver 🙁 Regardless of the driver the car looks fucking good. I didn't like how it looked on the internet and didn't expect it to catch my eye and hold it the way it did. I'm not a chevy man particularly, but I've alwsys had a soft spot for vettes and well engineered cars in general. All in all, I was certainly not disappointed

a friend of mine pre-ordered the Stingray to sell.
when it came in last month, he sold for $25k profit 😱

That's what I was going to say. Touchless is the only way to go with an automatic car wash. And proper hand washing can make swirl marks an almost non-issue.

I'm calling BS!

Kerbeck has been selling at MSRP for the past 30-days and is now discounting up to $2,000 off.

Hell, some dealers were taking pre-orders at $2K off MSRP on the Corvette forums.

You could only get $2k off on the non z-51 models because of the constraint on z51 and the use it or lose it allocation model combined with no one wanting a non-z51 model.

However, yes, anyone paying over MSRP for a stingray really doesn't realize just how many of them they make. I've seen a lot of claims of people asking for stupid markups, but not anyone admitting to buy them for those kinds of markups. Nearly 1,000 corvettes are built a week while they're in manufacturing. There is no reason to pay any sort of markup. They make tons of them.

Why pay third party for markup when you can get it for the same markup or less at a dealer with free donuts , coffee, massage, car mat , etc with warranty?

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well there is nothing like having the real thing right in front of you. I'm sure if you stretch your imagination just a little you can appreciate the difference between the two.

The Vette looked, to me, akward in photos. On the road and in person the new vette looks and sounds killer. Yes, they took a page out of the Italians playbook and it is good.

I do like the front of it. Those headlights do look similar to the Ferrari 458 Italia but with their own shape to them, and they do look great on the Vette. The sides look great too I just preferred the round tail lights of yore x1000.
