I know I am a little late but Clive Owen rules! Denzel is his usual self... making you believe that he really is that character IRL. It was a very good flick. 7/10 overall, 8/10 for its own genre.

Pretty entertaining movie but too much like a real-life situation that actually did happen some years ago... I predicted the broad strokes of the plan fairly easily. The finer touches still made it worth the cost of admission.

Considering this movie is nothing like a typical Spike Lee joint, I'd say you don't know what the fvck you're talking about.

And he doesn't speak in the movie, not once, because he's not in the movie. It's a great fvcking movie, and well worth the admission price.

There was some dialog however that dealt with stereotyping and racism that I think felt so out of place and unwarranted, but it was only a couple parts that doesn't take away from the movie one bit.

I'll second that. I'm not a big fan of his work but this was a great movie.

In your opinion, when would a discussion of sterotypes and race be warranted?

in a movie about a racist topic (kkk, slavery, gangs), not a movie about a bank robbery. there are exceptions of course, but if you have seen the movie (not sure if you have or not) IMO there seemed to be atleast 2 parts that just seemed so out of place because it brought up racism for no reason at all, kind of out of the blue. IMO it just felt "out of place".
