looks interesting, 5 training dvd's, a guitar + small amp for 2 bills. I don't know much about guitars but I'd like to learn to play. The guitar looks pretty nice, but everything for 200 bucks it can't be that good can it? Maybe somebody on here has ordered this set. Dunno where to start but he seemed like a pretty bad ass player on the informerical, never heard of him before seeing this tonight.

anyone wanna comment on the quality of the guitar, I thought a good accoustic one costs way more then 200 by itself.

here's the link for anyone who wants to see what the hell I'm talkin about.

I got my acoustic for $100 on musicians friend, It just depends really. What sort of guitar is it? The amp probably won't be worth a damn for that price but you can upgrade that if you want.

Steel string cutaway, hand crafted guitar. I have no idea what the hell that means, and I suspect it's a lot of infomercial hype. I posted a link if you wanna check it out and see what you think. if the guitar is trash I'd rather just order some instructional DVD's and buy a decent guitar.

Doesn't give a brand name of anything that is included in the package, just infomercial mumbo jumbo. My advice is you're just better off picking up a good guitar, case, and instructional dvd's.

Isn't it funny....... Soon after Johnny Cash dies, this guy goes on tv, dresses in black, talks in the voice like Johnny Cash and tries to push cheap guitars......

It sounds crazy but I know I'm right. I don't care who tries to defend him as he may be good but I think he's full of BS! Johnny Cash would kick him in the nuts!

Yeah, I thought it was Cash for a long time because I would flip the channel after a second. He looks a lot like him.

Does'nt anyone else realize he's acting like Johnny Cash in those infomercials other than me and "preslove"?

If I were rich, I'd make a deal with the company that sells his crap on tv or elsewhere, buy the crap, smash it all into little pieces and send it to his home......... Making sure he'd have no sales in the product and have to spend money to get rid of the garbage he promoted!

I may be out some money but I'd be a happy man posting that video of him on youtube looking at all that crap on his lawn as he comes to get the newspaper in the morning! :p

I don't thinks it's a matter is the guy is legit, I have heard of him before. However I think this "package" that he is trying to sell is utter crap, they don't supply brands of anything that is included and you don't need half the items in the package. I think it just prays on beginners lack of knowledge on what they need, they think they are getting a good deal.

I'm pretty sure he's been selling this package on TV since before Cash died. Don't think there's any rip-off here. But you get what you pay for, same as always.

Yeah, he's been doing it for a long time and I've never known Esteban to not be in the all black attire.

I've heard from serious players that the guitar actually sounds/plays really well but the rest of the stuff is crap, which is why he can afford to sell the package at that price. As for Esteban himself, there is no disputing that he can play the hell out of a guitar. He has amazing talent, regardless of the quality of his merchandise.

Guitar is a banger guitar. good for beginners, but once you get good enough, you will want to upgrade.

I would just get a banger guitar and try to learn. What is the point if you go for an expensive guitar and after playing around figure out guitar isn't your thing. With a banger guitar you can just mess around with it, bring it anywhere and not really worry about if it gets damaged. This is all ideal for learning an instrument at first because it lends itself to being able to bring the guitar anywhere.

I have a Yamaha and a Martin myself. Both pretty decent guitars, but I am kind of wanting to upgrade to a folksy Koa acoustic electric guitar. It costs a lot of money though, so I doubt I will get it anytime soon.

Ummm, Esteban has been around for a while now. He is considered a pretty good guitarist.

Esteban is a manufactured celebrity. He's a great guitarist, and HSN wanted a spokesman to sell guitars, so they got together. The instruments themselves are NOT well made. They use poor glues, and the build quality is notoriously poor. I wouldn't fall for the sales pitch.
