Fate's Warning was awesome but only played for about 25 minutes. Queensryche was very tight, played a lot of Empire and Mindcrime...good stuff. Jeoff Tate packed on a bunch of weight and was running around like Ozzy with his shirt open...ugh. DT sounded sloppy, played some pretty weak songs (nothing off the first albumn and a bunch of stuff of Images and Awake)...and only played 2 songs off of Scenes. Then in the end Queensryche came back on and played a Who medley with DT. That was very cool.

In the end I thought DT was kinda weak. Seen them three times and they just don't play well live...or their music doesn't sound good live because of it's complexity. But either way their song selection was fair to poor. They did full Metropolis which was pretty good though.

Dream Theatre is a major "studio" band. They play great in air conditioned comfort, when they can have as many takes as it requires, and lay down then overlay as many tracks as it requires, to get a product which could never be duplicated live. All great musicians, but its a bit like having a team made entirely of Michael Jordan's...every member is trying to play lead.
