Saw a weird gold car today that said "CHEVY"

It was a small 2 door car. Gold colored, said "CHEVY" on the bottom left of the liftback.
The symbol looked like an OPAL from a distance, but i looked at it again when i got closer it had the bowtie. Basically it was a Circle with a Bowtie in the center.. it said 'chevy' on the bottom left.

I didnt get to take a picture, she was driving it at 55mph i was going 70.

The front had teh same bowtie in a circle. Its a 2 door hatchback. I have never seen that car before.
 
Well it does look like teh Chery QQQ.. But the front end had a bigger grill.

I wonder what that car was.. drats I wish i had my camera with me to take a picture.

well, chevy did sue chery for copying one of its sub-compact's styling (manufactured by daewoo)
 
Opel, Vauxhall, and Chevy nameplates are used interchangeably on that car, depending on where it is sold.
