Saw a scary thing on Discovery Channel....but gotta question.

There was this show on Discovery Channel called "Haunting in Connecticuit". A demon lived in the basement of this house and possessed the oldest son of the family. The family noticed and ended up taking him to shrink. Things got so bad (him attacking people) that they ended up having him committed. Then all kinds of weird things happened and the demon attacked the family. The demon followed the father to work and started his truck and drove it through his office, his wife and neice were attacked by the demon as well.... None of them were hurt (hmm)....but they ended up calling researchers in when their priest told them to ignore the presence. Finally, one of the researchers saw all he needed to and they called the Roman Catholic church in because they were told that the only thing that could help them was an exorcism. Now....my question is, what if you're not Catholic? Are you screwed?

Hmm.... I was raised in a Methodist Church. We never really discussed demons or supernatural stuff because it just never came up. It was never in the bible and seems to be something more out of storybooks and movies. It's always funny because you don't hear about them until around Halloween time each year. I'm highly skeptical of all that stuff just because I always wonder exactly WHY things happen. So, if a door closes on its own or my toilet starts moaning and filling with blood, I'll rig that mofo so it won't.

*EDIT: I know demons were in the bible, but we always talked about Daniel and the Lion's Den and Noah and his Zoo-boat...never possessions and stuff.

Sure they exist. Spiritual Warfare happens all the time. Just because you can't "see" them doesn't mean they're not there. I've known people that had to brew up some serious mojo to get rid of "Beings" living in their house. My exgirlfriend's house she grew up in was just like that. It was 100+ years old and they definitely had someone or something living in the house. Furniture would get moved and doors would open all of the sudden. Certain rooms would drop by 20 degrees instantly. When they researched it, they found 2 different people had died in the house some years before. They were far from Demons, though.

He said that he had never been that scared in his life and that he didn't need all his tape recorders and monitoring equipment....he had enough evidence from what he saw in the basement. :Q So they ended up getting the church to come in and do an exorcism. The priest was blessing the house and his shirt was being tugged at by something when he was in the basement. He totally ignored the presence. He then performed the exorcism and the mother was thrown up against the wall and the younger girl was being choked...sorta like the Undertaker did with his chokehold. She was above the floor.... Finally the sun came in the windows and the darkness was gone. The family moved out of the house and the following Spring, they got their son out of the lockup. The End.

You guys have no idea about the crazy crap that goes on in various parts of the world...'supernatural' occurences are a part of normal life in some areas of the world. We freak about them, try to debunk them, etc...but that doesn't make the experience of such events/occurences any less real.

Go to India or Nepal or Bali for a year and your mind will be changed forever.
