Saw a guy crash into someone on purpose

So I was driving in the left lane when the sun was setting yesterday going pretty fast and had to slow down hard to stop at a yellow to red light. The ford ranger next to me did the same thing and he was blaring some pretty loud Red Hot Chili Peppers with his windows down. We were the only ones heading that direction on a normal intersection. A white neon comes out from a close neighborhood while we are at the light and pulls up right behind the truck. I look over when I hear that the Ranger has turned down his music and is looking behind him at the neon. He wasn?t using his rear view mirrors, just looking straight back at the car. That?s when I realize that the neon is right on his ass, like a foot and a half away. Then shit gets ugly?

The dude in the Ranger yells to the neon ?you better back that shit up before I knock that bumper off!? and next I hear from the neon tell the guy to turn around and stfu. All of a sudden, the ranger kicks it in reverse and without hesitation floors it into the back of the neon!!!! I couldn?t freaking believe it! So they both get out of the car and the Hispanic looking dude in the neon starts going off on the Ranger guy and all I hear from the Ranger dude is ?I don?t know what you?re talking about, you just pulled up and hit my truck.? It?s the craziest thing I?ve ever seen! He played it off like the neon hit HIM! There was a couple jogging that got into also and they definitely saw what really happened, so this dude is screwed with witnesses.

The light turned green and I took off. I didn?t want to be part of that one freaking bit. I might have hung around to help the neon tell the real story if it weren?t for the joggers that saw it and stuck around. But thinking about it, what would happen in a situation like that when the witnesses aren?t there? The cops would come and would look at the damage. The dude in the Ranger would probably calmly explain that he was just sitting at a light when bam, he?s hit from behind. The dude in the neon would probably go nuts trying to tell the true story and all in all, the cop wouldn?t be able to tell what really happened.

Who the hell would try to pull a stunt like that just to piss someone off?

So basically you were a coward and didn't want to stand up for the hispanic guy, and left the scene of an accident where you were a credible witness.

So basically there were two credible witnesses already speaking with the two people at the scene so I didn't feel a need for more. Basically, stop skimming posts.

It doesn't matter if there were already two credible witnesses. You are a coward.

The person behind would be found at fault, which is why you should stick around until the cops show up. People can get screwed by witnesses taking off. Fortunately it sounds like he had a few others, but in reality? You should also have stayed, its possible they didn't see/hear everything.

Yeah but you'd never do it right? Most wouldn't be crazy enough to try and get away with something like that. Its nuts. I've done the whole tap my brakes thing when someone is riding my ass but I'm not going to ram someone to prove a point.

Wow, I give credit to the Ranger guy for having the balls to do something I wish I could do at least once a day.

Hahahah, thats awesome. I hate tail-gaiters, although, I'd never do something like this.

Oh yea, what does "Hispanic" have to do with anything? Why didnt you state the race of the Ranger guy?

There are ways of telling which way a car crash happened. Like noticing the pattern of broken glass/lenses and skid marks. For example, if there's skid marks in FRONT of the Neon's tires, you know the Neon moved backwards.

Alot of truck drivers have people try to pull scams of backing into them at truck stops and then claiming the trucker ran into them.

You suck....just like the witness from my accident. She gave her phone number but when the insurance company calls her she doesnt answer the phone or return calls.

Since there were no other witnesses the 2 insurance companies involved are trying to decide liability....which should have been 100/0 but now looks like 80/20

It is a crime not to submit your statement when you have witnessed a crime. If the cops find out (oh, say, read this thread?) and they really want to be jerks about it, they can arrest YOU.

Never assume that anyone else is going to tell the truth. You should have stuck around.

What a fucking coward. It's even more pathetic that you can't see why. People like you are why our society sucks.

Wait so you are giving a guy props for smashing someones car with absolutely no justification? If he was tail gating while they were driving, that's one reason to be mad (but still no reason to damage their car), but sitting at a fucking stop light? Are you kidding me? Sometimes you people are so pathetic.

I was at a light once and a walking man walked up to this lady who had her window open. He was a thief and tried to rob her with a knife, then the green light turned on and a HUGE guy behind her gets out of the car. He walks up to the thief and grabs him from the arm and throws him. A pissed off car is flying by nails the thief and slams his head against the ground. The thief isn't moving and blood is all over the place. The huge guy was is very scared of the man dying. I stayed there until the cops showed up and had to go to the police station (in a police car, it was my first time in one too) and signed the report, the process took 3 hours and the thief went to jail. I was only 17 and did the right thing.

I'm trying to figure that out too. I don't understand the issue at a stop light. If you were on a hill and he had a clutch I could see them getting grumpy for not leaving space. But if it was a flat intersection who cares how close the person behind you is.

Basically.... nice job OP.

BTW, there is no guarantee that the joggers would stop either.

The guy in the ranger was out of line, and the "hispanic" in the neon should learn how to drive. I should have rephrased my post, because I knew someone would get sensitive about it and interpret it wrong. Im not condoning what the Ranger guy did. I just found his actions to be a bit humerous and a little satisfying.

When I stop at a light, and someone pulls up right behind my damn bumper, yes, I get irked and a little pissed because if that person is hit in the rear, they end up hitting me in the rear. Pulling up behind someone's ass is not showing the driver ahead of you any consideration or regard. So yes, I did grin when I read this post, although the ranger guy is an idiot.

Looks like the asshole that you're talking about counts on people like you. Good job!

How is a foot and a half right on someone's ass? Perhaps you both don't know how to parallel park and require at least 4 feet in both directions? Its at a fricken stop light, not like he's a foot and a half away while traveling at speeds.
