Saw a Crucial.com memory commercial on TV

It was on the Discovery Channel of all places. One minute I was watching sea turtles gracefully glide through the crystal clear waters of the galapagos and the next minute Crucial was telling me how wonderful my PC would be after a memory upgrade.

Turns out I'd already purchased a stick of PC-133 from them. But no harm done. And as apoppin informed me, prices are even lower now at their web site esp. with the 15% discount link (appx. $57 for a cas-2 dimm of PC-133, 128 MB). Not bad.

The fact Crucial is advertising means they're actually doing something to increase revenue rather than whining about low memory pricing like some other companies. As a consumer I hope prices drop even further but we'll see what happens...

They've been advertising for a while 🙂

They really should associate themselves with Micron. It adds edge to both there lines. Though I doubt OEMs would like consumers knowing that they use there competitors RAM in there products.

Doesn't Dell use Micron ram?

Micron the online retailer is fairly big but not as big as GW or Dell. I heard a rumor Dell might buy GW this year...I believe Micron would be unaffected...?

Crucial is advertising heavily on the local radio station I listen to here in the Philly area. I usually hear one of their commercials at least once a day.
