Saw a commercial on SCI-FI channel for the 'Firefly' premiere this friday

i take it they are rerunning the old episodes or is this a mini series?

anyone know...i never wacthed the original series but want to give it a try since a lot of people on here seem to say its a really good series

It's the original series, but unlike Fox they will show it in order, and not skip 3 of the episodes :|

Serenity is a movie not TV miniseries, and will be out this fall.

I'm really hoping that they will continue to make the show after the movie airs. We won't know till sometime next year . I liked it, cowboys and space ships. Great concept.

I only watched a few epidodes of Firefly, but I thought it was OK. Lots of people hated it though.

Probably because they watched it on Fox instead of renting the DVDs.

Fox:
1. didn't bother to show the first episode that introduced all the characters
2. showed the rest of the episodes out of order to ruin the continuity
3. skipped other episodes entirely just to finish beating the continuity to death.

I thought Fox showed "special" episodes of the pilot?

Only after they had showed most of the other episodes.
