So the highway was fairly covered in snow and traffic was moving between 30-50 as conditions varied.

Anyways, about 1000 feet ahead of me I see a set of headlights, and then I see them again, so everyone slows to a crawl and puts on flashers. Visibility is low because of falling snow and heavy cross winds. Anyways, the car is now horizontal to the flow of traffic blocking 2-3 lanes. Everyone stops to let the get going again and it just sits there.

In the mean time I hear and feel a "WHOOOSH" as a snow plow truck passes me on the shoulder at about 50. Glad they saw me. The car just sat there facing the wrong way, so I gave up and drove around it before another close call.

I've been that car before.... scary as hell.

I was driving out to visit a friend of mine and it was snowing pretty bad. By the time I got to my friends turn off (just off the highway) I slowed down to turn (going no more than 10km/h), turned the wheel and completely spun out. Ended up facing traffic in my lane.

Fortunately, people saw me spin out and helped me get my car straightened out and didn't kill me :D

heh, i've had a car for some reason suddenly careen into the center divider, ramp up and flip onto its roof and then 360 its way across traffic narrowly missing me and a couple other cars.

Yeah, I realized what was going on instantly and really really didn't want something like that to happen. I was happy to see everything in one piece.

Pops clipped someone who spun like that a couple weeks ago. Still has him shaken up, though he couldn't have missed them without taking someone else out and the folks in the spinning car will recover. Slow down folks. The life you save may be your own, and even if not, it may save me some phone calls. :)
