and I must say that I actually liked it. I wasn't a big fan of the original and absolutely cannot stand ricers in real life. It was pretty action packed with lots of racing (of course...) and some good lookin women.

Anyway, not a bad $5.50 spent.

I saw it too. It was not that bad for a movie about road racing. I am not sure what the story is with the "I hate ricer" thing some people have but the movie had a lot of different kind of cars in it and a lot of good looking women.

It was okay but then I like cars and women.

Not having seen it, I can't judge the women, however, I doubt that there were any "cars" in it. As my Maxima's bumper sticker says, "Friends don't let Friends drive Ricers."

i have a bumper sticker that says 'Friends don't let Friends cuts holes in their computer cases and put lights and glow-in-dark fans in them'...actually i dont. but different people like different things. just because you don't like it doesn't means other people can't or that its crap.

also, some people would trade their left nvt for that skyline

I loved how they were supposed to be going 1 hundred miles an hour and then it would show the tach to emphasize the suspense only to show a massive 3000 revs. I also loved how the speedometer always seemed to be at the same speed too.

I can't stand these threads because you all jump on the freakin' bandwagon and say the same thing.

I think my favorite effect was NOS hyperspace speed boost. silly stuff.

I laughed out loud in the theater in the last scene with the car and boat. People were staring at me, it was pretty funny.

I didn't really want to see it going in, but I knew it was going to be awful, so I decided to laugh at the absurdity instead of be angry that I spent money on it :)

yup, it was some nice dumb fun, but it was fun, not mind numbingly boring or annoying like many other films.

course you get the canned replies from certain people in this thread who probably haven't even seen it:p

Anyone else not like the casting for the main bad guys part?

Does this guy look like he's from Argentina and is a big time drug smuggler?

To me, he looks Irish... not south american.

How can you write about a movie you haven't seen?

I'm sorry.

and im sorry he didnt have the foresight to see something else

i thought the first one was disappointing, id heard alot of people say it was great. races were far too short and uninteresting, and tricking out some hondas or toyotas (i wasnt paying attention) to chase down a semi was about as necessary as tricking out a moped to keep up with a child on a bike pulling a red wagon

and the second one looked even worse

/me saves his money for Return of the King ;)
