Can I connect a VCR to a Radeon 9000 with VIVO , and save it to my hard drive and then burn it to DVD?
Or would it be better to use something like a Winfast TV2000XP dlx. card?
And also how do I go about doing it?

This is all new to me so all the help I can get, Please

Thanks
Ken

right idea, but the better the video/TV card, the better the quality. I can't recommend a good card, because I've never done it.
I think the only thing you want to ensure is that your vcr has a video-out that fits the video-in of the cards you're considering.

Thats the way to do it. If you really want the best quality, invest in a decent digital video camera. I have a Sony TVR350 that allows video in/out. It captures flawlessly and you never have to worry about the audio not syncing with the video. You just connect the vcr to the camera and connect the camera via firewire to the PC. I ues this for family video tapes.

interesting, I have a TVR400 or something like that and I tried to capture through the camera from my vcr and couldnt get it to work. what did you use to connect the camera to the vcr? I used the black A/V cable that connects to a RCA type jack on the camera, same one I use to go from camera to vcr. and used firewire from camera to pc and tried nero express, roxio and windows movie maker to capture.
