Saving streamed media to your computer

I was wondering if it would be possible to save videos that you have streamed to you computer, like off of quicktime and stuff. What software would you need for it?

it is possible, need to find a ripper to do that...i cant remember the name of the one i used a while back...think it had a jet in the name...

NetTransport. Figuring out the URL of the file is usually the difficult part if the website is trying to prevent you from ripping it.

I just look at the source of the page, find the name/location of the file, and then type out the location of the file into something where a link will become clickable (currently use Xanga for that) and then right click the link I created, and download.
