I've got a small but very annoying problem wiht the microphone recording levels in the little volume settings applet in win2k. I help maintain a foreign language computer lab at my univiersity and we use headsets wiht microphones on our computers to record the student's voices when they are doing a lesson. Here's my problem, I will set all the volume levels and record levels the way I want them in the little volume control applet on our model machine. Then I use Ghost to make an image of that computer's drive and do a ghost multicast session to send that image out to all the computers in our lab. For some strange reason my volume settings get reset when I put the image on the other computers, forcing me to go around to all the computers and readjust the settings. Is there some way to save these settings so they don't get reset every time I put a new copy of our backup image on a machine?
