saving an imbedded .MKV subtitle file (Solved)

Is there any free software that can do this? I mainly use handbrake and avidemux and I can't find any option to simply save the subtitle track. It's not a hardcoded sub.

I'm wanting to re-encode the file to mp4 and keep the subtitle separate. I have not been able to find the sub file online anywhere either.

Mkvtoolnix has this option, haven't used it in quite a while back then the gui wouldn't work and I had to do this with the command line option, the relevant exe is called mkvextract.exe.

Also ffmpeg does everything but it's command line only and very complex at times.
