Lent Goldeneye, one of my prized Bond DVDs to my buddy, and got it back with a huge scratch on it. :| The DVD player wouldn't read it. I got to wondering if the DVD X Rescue function of DVD X Copy Platinum could save it. Lo and behold it did! It extracted all of the VOB's to my hard drive!
Now here's the problem. The original is a dual layer disk, about 6gb of data. Obviously, that's not going to be fitting onto a single layer disk without compression. I really don't want to use compression, as I watch the movies on my 2001fp, and compression produces a noticible degradation in picture quality. I can buy a new copy of the DVD for 9.99, so buying a DVD DL is out of the question.
Is there a program that will let me split the VOB files or an ISO image of the VOB files into two parts so I can copy the movie onto 2 single layer disks without compression??
