Saved enough for one, what should I get?

After saving up enough money, what should I get? A 17" LCD or a nice digital camera? I only have enough for one.

I have a crappy 15" no brand LCD and a FujiFilm 2650 finepix, both which I plan to sell.

I voted for the camera, but since you have such a crappy monitor now, go for the LCD - it's something you'll use all day every day and it's worth it for your eyes.

Get a nice 18 - 19" LCD on sale @ Dell.

I say go for the monitor. Once you get a larger one, you'll never go back and wonder how you did without it. (Yeah, I know that's inviting comment on other issues, so just shut it now.)

Sure one of the new cameras would be nice, but my mate has a 1.1 meg pixel Kodak and has kept it over a 3 and a 4 megapixel cameras. And he's a modeler, so he's obsessed as hell with details!

I think your best move is to get the monitor, and save up until all the bugs are worked out of the 5+ megapixel camers, then grab one of those suckers.

If you can stand to stare at the lcd get the digicam (with intent to get a new lcd at some point). Otherwise get the lcd.

i was a little worried about LCDs, if they would be just as good as crts, i got the viewsonic 171b 17" lcd, its even beeter than my dual crt setup i had before, so glad i got it. i voted lcd b/c of it, but i do use my digi cam all the time.

yea, got it from dell. its a sick ass lcd, 16ms refresh rate, it can pivot...just awsome.
