wow.. never thought of that b4. Most of the Darfur activist i've seen on TV and on news sites are white.

why arent more blacks involved?

I guess standing around in a far removed place waving placards/posters at no one in particular, accomplishing nothing other than creating false sense of moral superiority in one's self is a white man's disease.

It comes down to Wealth and Comfort. The less Struggle in a persons life, the more likely they will take on someone else's struggle. Ive read 20-30%. S Africa is at around 10%, but the north is higher. Western Africa has been settled by whites for quite some time. Look at it's surrounding continents-Europe to the north and Asia to the East.

B/c Those are Africans, not Black Americans. there is a big difference. They just happen to have similar skin color. That does not mean one group cares about the other group. This does not mean that they are similar in any way at all besides appearance. there is no connection. No reason for them to care in other words.

To Moon, the idea in the bible is that those who are sick (i.e. know they have a problem- sin) need a doctor and recognize this fact. those who are well (or rather, think they are well) don't need a doctor (don't acknowledge their sin or realize they need to). It is being self-aware and honest before God.

Darfur is a very complex issue. On one hand we have a lot of people many liberals are mad we have 2 wars going on at the same time in Afghanistan and Iraq, and now they want someone to do something in Darfur and maybe Pakistan also.

How come the Africans can not police their own continent?

On the other hand, this could be seen as a landgrab by the muslims, or just a few greedy people wanting to steal oil rich lands.

Sorry I don't care about Darfur because of some white guilt. I do genuinely care about people being mutilated and slaughtered however, wherever it occurs.

I also don't own or buy diamonds, which is about the only wronging of African peoples that any typical American can take responsibility for.
