"Save As" Issue and Recent Docs Issue - Win7

I'm having to plod through menu after menu after menu, after drill-down after drill-down after drill-down, to save docs, retrieve docs, open docs that I have JUST CLOSED!!! Where is the recent docs list? Why do I have to continually have to drill down over and over again to save docs in the same directory I ALWAYS use, to save another doc?

I HATE WINDOWS!!! 😡

PEBCAC.

If you have set your Start Menu up properly you can access recent files from there. You could also pin your Word/Excel etc to the Taskbar so that your recent documents will show up in the jump lists, or you can pin those documents to the Word/Excel shortcuts by dragging and dropping. Older methods would include creating shortcuts to those files on the Desktop.

If you are opening files that you 'just closed', why did you close them in the first place? Why not leave them open and Alt-Tab to them when you need them? Winkey-Tab even.

Sounds like you need some night classes in Windows use tbh.
