A warning to users who stumble upon the Savage 2 game/website (do not give this site personal information) as posted on the Savage 2 forums:
The user "Rohezal" is being given user information by the Savage 2 staff, which he is using to directly contact the users. He has declared he is not a staff member and just a member of the community .
"You gonna trash Savage 2 (which is not my game, I am just a community member)..."
"I did not pay anything to get this information. And I signed a contract. I work for free on patches, websites etc on S2 Games servers. And must keep all informations and files from S2 Games I got secret."
He is a third party, being given our confidential information for his own use, which happens to be advertising this particular game. From what I understand from the disclaimer on this site is that all information is stored on servers in Germany and is under the jurisdiction of their laws, where under Germany's telemedia act, providing third parties with a users information without consent is illegal. Though, again, I may be mistaken about this. Though that may or may not be the case, the site's privacy agreement clearly states: Information Collection and Use
S2 Games is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. S2 Games collects information from our users at several different points on our website.
Either this site is misusing it's users' information or "Rohezal" is misrepresenting himself to users and misleading them about his employer's usage of private information. The way he uses this information may be harmless now, personally contacting random users by name and persistently contacting them after being asked to stop multiple times , I still believe it should be taken seriously and can easily escalate to much more serious misuses.
