Round 1.

Can Opener conviently decides not to work tonight. I want tuna/egg salad for tommorow morning. I am not amused.

Round 2.
Using my wit and cunning skills, I am able to pry open the lid using primitive tools.

Final Round.
The tuna (and metal shavings) is MINE!

Tommorow.
I shall go to Target, and purchase a new can opener (and a manual one, for situations such as this). The old one will receive an untimely death.

Thank you, and goodbye.

Get the kind that cuts below the lid so you can remove the whole lid. No more metal shavings in your food.

I would have, but I do not own a power tool. :( The best I had was a flathead screwdriver, and a knife. Mind you this was very dangerous, as this was tuna in vegetable oil, so it was slippery. Probably not one of the smarter things i've done in life, but I was angered.

Yeah, it's just that you're pretty comfortable around here from the get-go.
