I live in the school district where this is happening. I never heard anything about it until I read about it on the BBC yesterday. Apparently similar systems have already been implemented in big cities in other states. NISD is hardly a conservative bastion - it is one of the most liberal districts in the state.

The majority of Texas school districts(and Id bet school districts nationwide) implemented this several years ago. And it hasn't been just large districts either.

And shes not going to win. To much case law is against her.

LOL Texas.. honestly why are they treating kids like prisoners? What is the motive?

This is not the way to solve their high dropout rates.. and what about "personal freedom?" Is it not valid in this case?

This is funny, the things these two have in common are pretty much the problem in the first place that leads to shit like this. Conservatism and religion. Both have them in spades, one wears a burka, the other a business suit with a cross. Also, they both are flush with oil and both reside in desert lands. Funny aint it? Both think that "gawd" is on their side. What a joke.

They're getting the sheep to get used to the police state that we'll see soon here in the Land of the Free!

As for the Saudi's, what else would you expect?
