Hmm, getting the security problem fixed! That's a tough one. Jordan is going to have to fix its security problem. I wonder how much that will cost? Jordan doesn't have the oil in the ground like Iraq or Saudi Arabia and Prince Abdullah is talking about going on the offensive to track down those responsible for the recent attacks. Will he send troops into Iraq? If so, and they encounter US forces what then? Maybe it will be one of those shiney, brand new Iraqi battalions we are always hearing so much about.

Appears to be a nice gesture, too bad the money can't be spent until we get the security problem fixed.
Saudi Arabia? Where most of the hijackers who took out the WTC are from? Wow. That's great. Is that before or after we attack them? Because if we are truly going to make the ME "democratic" we need to start with those autocratic ,double dealing criminals. Oh wait. The Bushs are good friends with them.... :disgust:

Notice the 'cons are avoiding this one. Seriously though, why is Bush such good friends with our enemies, and why, when he claims we are in the ME to democratize it (COUGH), is he good friends with an autocratic criminal? They're simple questions, really. Women can't vote there! How can we support that?

The reason we support the Saudi regime is because any possible alternate is far worse, ie, anti-western extreme fundamentalist.

Scoff at this?

Ok, pie in the sky, tell us what you would do in Bushes' place.

Its not enough to complain, complaining does nothing, come up with a plan.

How are the sauds NOT fundamentalists, they will stone you to death there for adultry...women cannot drive.

The majority of 9/11 conspirators were sauds, Flying a plane into a building is pretty radical.

If we were anti-fundamentalist in practice then why is iraq the mess it is now?

Why do we have fundamentalists running the show HERE?

Sounds like a strawman to justify the wink wink support of a dictatorship and their bountiful sweet crude.

Ok, if you want to split hairs and ignore the challenge to even put forth a better approach I'll clarify:

The Saudi govt. is fundamentalist but not nearly to the degree of what could happen if an extremist faction took over the country.

I suspect you both knew what I meant but decided to get semantical and waste and derail the topic

Anyway, let's hear plan please.

Just becasue you think the sauds level of fundamentalism is "no biggie" does not mean we are just being semantical.

splitting hairs...ho hum...just where is that saudi son of a bin laden family anyway?

I didn't say that it was "no biggie"

I see you are continuing to bitch and criticize about the situation and the way I wrote my post but it seems you still have yet to come up with a plan. Perhaps if you applied the energy you use to bitch and nitpick posts to something productive you would have a positive impact rather than just being a drag on everything.

Impeaching the complient buddies of the sauds here would be a good step, having the cia cough up their terrorist stooge obl would be a good next one.

Seizing all saud holding in the US and a modern energy policy would be a good third, let their asses hang in the wind, the arabic people will consume them without the us covering their asses.
