Saturn Aura or Pontiac G6 hard top convertible

GoingUp

Lifer
Looking at both cars. I love the look and interior of the Aura XR with the Moroccan brown package.

Pontiac G6 convertible looks good, but it gets such awful gas mileage for some reason. Plus I'm in Michigan so I wouldn't get a lot of use with the top down.

Cost of difference between the two cars is about $6K

Recommendations? Anyone here have either of the two?

Thanks!

Your comparing a 2 door sporty car with a 4 door semi-lux car. They are in different fields.

If you want sporty then go G6. If you want lux go Saturn.

My wife drives the Aura. Same as you're looking at, the XR w/Moroccan Brown.

She's very happy with the car. She'd been very happy with a long string of Malibu's and is just as happy with this. With one exception.

She wishes the gas mileage was better. But I'll tell ya, this thing really moves.

My one complaint is the ride. It's just fine except over really rough pavement. We're in Michigan too, so I know you know what I mean by rough pavement.

If you lease, the payments are good on the Aura.

Do yourself a favor & own at least one convertible in your lifetime 🙂

They're great, and a hardtop is the best type of convertible.

G6 is a nice ride but the trunk spce is very tight with the hardtop convertible down.

I think I would tire of the brash colored Morocan brown interior, looks great the first few times though.

Honestly, go find yourself a Saab 9-3 Aero 2007 and haggle the price down to $29K or so. Longer warranty, better interior, sportier, & free scheduled maintenance.

The XR is a fine ride though!

If you want a 2007 then probable now. If a 2008 then wait about 5months more.

I think that maybe he's talking about a financial point of view, as in Michigan, we get most vehicles quite early. Not sure about these though.

Personally, I like the Aura.
