Satisfied with your cellular phone service? Austin,TX

I'm fixing to get a cell phone and the best bargain i could find was with cingular. But i'm wondering how good it is, like in buildings and if it breaks up.
Do u guys think cingular is good or what other services should i think about?
I dont care for that free unlimited night and weekends.
I'm interested in the most minutes during the daytime.
(Cingular is 29.99 for 250 minutes and 1000 night and weekend minutes)

Cell phone service differs around the country. VoiceStream may be great in Oregon but sucks in New York.

So I'd suggest editing your thread title to include your city/state so you'll receive recommendations which you can actually use.

For the record I use VoiceStream Wireless (AKA T-Mobile) here in Portland, Oregon and it's awesome.

RossMAN has it right. Ask peopl ein Los Angeles about Cingular and they will say run away from it as fast as you can. However I have Cingular here and I love it.

I'm in Austin. I'm using Spring PCS right now, got a good deal through work. It's very cheap and they really improved thier service over the past year, I'm not dropping calls anymore. I'm pretty happy with them right now.

using sprint. i get 3 bars here in southern williamson county and drop calls all the time. its fine pretty much everywhere else i've been around here though. just don't expect it to work in DKR- texas memorial stadium on game day.

Sprint works great for me too.

You are right about game day. Too many girls calling each other to talk about anything but football.
