yea, that's there or there's also the new receiver & kit for $49 w/ sirius deal.

i've had xm, was never too overly impressed with it personally, worked well in the home, but not so hot in my car. others w/ the same unit have not had the same experience, so i figure its probably a bad unit. anyways, the programming was decent, although i found myself listening to the comedy channel quite often more than the radio stations truly. many of the stations just had too eclectic of a mix for me, but the espn feeds were usually pretty nice, the only thing that sucked was cuz they carry nascar on it, they would update nascar on the sports stations often times much more than nfl or anything else, got annoying. the only other thing that really bothered me was for their ads - seems every channel i enjoyed managed to get some sort of national advertising on it - got annoying real fast to pay for ads

I've got XM, I've enjoyed it. Haven't tried Sirius... I can't imagine that the music is too different between the two... Talk options probably do vary.

Make a poll 'cause I want to know too.
I think Sirrus has more sports but I am not sure.

If you like Stern then Sirius for Talk Radio.

Stern is supposed to start like 3-stations of talk and his own programming on Sirius. Sirius also has Opie & Anthony.

I was going to go with Sirius until XM announced they were going to be carrying Major League Baseball.

That was the deal-breaker for me. I pay for the college and pro football packages with Directv. I don't pay for the baseball package and I love listening to my Tigers on the radio.

XM has been great (I have had it two days). I love being able to use it in the car then bring it into the house. It has tons of great music channels (very specialized) with no commercials. I also love getting all of the national sports radio talk shows.

 for XM.

well they're both good, it just depends on your programming tastes. now, if you really want to know who has the best value, then i'll say XM's current promo for $5 /mo wins hands down, considering sirius costs 160% more.

Sirius subscriber here..... Things i like about sirius?

1. Tons of talk radio (makes the 100 mile commute bareable)
2. Shade 45 - Eminem's own channel
3. News & Weather
4. Tons of Rock Stations (i think they are up to like 10-12 now, maybe more)

I too, am a Sirius subscriber.

Things I like:

-Big 80's. (I listen to this 75% of the time)
-Being able to listen to the Pistons games when I'm on the road.

Things I dislike:

-Certain songs on certain stations get the hell replayed out of them.
-I don't like that several of the stations are spent on city-specific weather and traffic. Such a waste if you don't live there.
-Their "90's and modern station blows". I think they have a rotation of about 28 songs.
-The price compared to XM.

Overall: blows the hell out of FM and I'll never go back.
