I don't think that is right. There are lots of USB devices you plug into your pc which have an ethernet connector on the other end. But, that isn't what he needs. He would need a USB device he would plug into his USB modem. I'm not aware of any such devices, but if there are I'd be interested in hearing about them. The problem, as I understand it, is that a USB device needs to be connected to a PC in order to work. In this case, there would be no pc -- you'd be trying to connect a USB modem to an ethernet router.Originally posted by: Oaf357

I believe their are 2 products that do support it. One being from the company that sells the modems and the other is a $1000 box which is basically linux on a small PC configured to run everything from email, to firewall, etc.
I am pretty sure the Sat broadband co's sugest setting up a PC with ICS to share it with the rest of the LAN using ethernet.
