Those of you who use satellite for HD content I want to know something. Do any of you use the HDMI out to a regular PC monitor (LCD) to the HDMI input? Does this work for you? Does it work well? I'm thinking of getting a monitor with HDMI and then getting Direct TV and just using my monitor as an HDTV. Just want user experiences. Thanks in advance. 🙂

I had a dish network receiver hooked up to my sammy 22'inch but the receiver had a dvi connection. Ii would output to 720p and the monitor would resize it. I guess all you have to make sure is that Its HDCP compliant and that it accepts the resolution the receiver outputs (720p,1080i in my case)

This works best with a 24" with 1:1, since most 22" and smaller monitors won't keep the aspect ratio at 16:9 and will therefore stretch the picture vertically.
