satelite radio XM or Sirus?

So I've had XM radio for about a month and have become very disappointed in their selection of rock music. They have the mixture of good classic rock and hair band(more one hit wonder hair band songs then good rock) 🙁 on one station, alterntive rock(part of the music I've never heard of), and a few others don't play a very good selection of hard rock like metallica, rob zombie, nin, tool, etc

So anyone who has Sirus let me know if it's any better.

Sirius has quite a large selection of Rock channels.... Sign up for the free 3-day trial online just to get a feel for what they play (not for SQ though, the online streams are crap quality)

I've got both, and I prefer Sirius' rock selections. After XM cut their new metal station (Liquid Metal), XM doesn't compare anymore when it comes to new rock music. Try listening to the free trial of Sirius online (check out Octane, Alt Nation, Hard Attack, and Faction). Hard Attack is, in my opinion, the best station in satellite radio.

Overall, Sirius' music channels seem to be more 'mainstream' in terms of artists, which can be good or bad, depending on your preferences.

after having both, sirius is much much better for rock. Octane and Faction are great stations, 1 & 2 on the presets, followed by Hard Attack & Alt Nation, and those are just a few of the rock stations - they even have a station full of jam band cuts only.

xm on the other hand has better for the pop and/or country, not what i listen to, but i love my sirius instead!

I'm a big fan of Squizz (XM 48)... they usually play great stuff, Ethel (XM 47) is pretty good too... a bit less heavy

There are times the music is good but more often it's not

I have XM and listen to Boneyard and Squizz mainly. I have never tried sirius yet so I can't really compare them.

Another XM listener here, I like the rock stations especially Chanel 40 and 46 that plays Classic Rock artists and their new or sides B songs. I never had the chance to listen Sirius, so I can't make any comparison.
