SATA's and Cache

Hello, I'm looking into picking up a new HDD (SATA, no fancy SSD stuff, yet hehe), and just wanted to know how important cache is when it comes to 32MB versus 64MB. I'm looking specifically at WD's, and what's the difference between a 64MB green and black one? I'm under the impression that black is the mean and lean one, but when it has the same cache, what separates them? This PC will mainly be used for document work and some gaming. Thanks.

Unless you plan on programming the firmware, cache size is not important anymore should be ignored. What separates Black and Green is often the rotation speed.

Do consider moving to an SSD. I'm pretty sure for the same amount of money, you can buy and SSD and keep your old drive. Divide the data as needed and you'll probably be happier.
