Sweet, now if your teacher wants to check if your cheating, he can type some key sentences into google, and this thread will pop up. Note: I did not read the essay, nor will I. Paradise Lost was at the beginning of this year, and I really care not to go through it again.

I'm not going to read all that, but still have some advice.

Presenation is important. Peoples ideas are supposed to be unique.
Most Teachers appreciate spotless grammer, spelling, and neatly typed, and bound presenations.

I don't want to down play the value of content, but covering the easy stuff is only smart.

yes she could easily do that but it really doesn't matte because i could just as easily prove i posted this essay. It also doesn't matter because i am really only asking for helpful comments.

I do understand how you feel about paradise lost though. I don't want to ever have to think about it again after i get done writing this

:D

I majored in English and undertook Paradise Lost on my own time. Still can't get through the thing, so my hat is off to you for reading it, in high school!

Well, when I read it, we skipped a few of the books (like 2 or 3 of them), and didn't read Paradise Regained (or whatever the other one was).

Yea we didn't reade regained either, but Paradise Lost was more than enough.
we had to read the whole thing but were told to use summaries and such to help us out.
The book was a very hard read.

Read pretty well... you may want to make a few changes on the wording to help with the flow of the writing, but this kinda conclusion is very obvious and supported on a basic level. If your teacher hates you, they may decide that "you suck". And if you go out on a limb and write a more original thesis you may get pounded for 'lack of support' (or as I liked to put it... your teacher is too stupid to follow your reasoning)

Don't stress too much about the paper. High school English was a joke for me... my HS teachers didn't like my writing style but all my social sciences and political science profs liked it. I even did well in a few law classes offered at my university. My writing may not be poetic but a lot of people don't friggin care.

EDIT: btw, if you want to shore up your argument a bit more... analyze and preemptively refute contentions to your arguments/reasoning. I know some English teachers hate that but logically, it strengthens your argument.

John Milton: Who, in their right mind Kevin, could possibly deny the twentieth century was entirely mine?

-----------------------

Kevin Lomax: "Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven", is that it?
John Milton: Why not? I'm here on the ground with my nose in it since the whole thing began. I've nurtured every sensation man's been inspired to have. I cared about what he wanted and I never judged him. Why? Because I never rejected him, in spite of all his imperfections. I'm a fan of man. I'm a humanist. Maybe the last humanist.

Devil's Advocate was an awesome movie.

Let's turn this into a movie quote thread - "Was Milton trying to tell us that being bad was more fun than being good?"

So
