If you go with the Maxtor don't put it in an EVGA nForce 4 SLI board. I went through 2 of them until I figured out they were incompatible (at least on mine it was, I assume it'll be the same on others). I've got a WD drive in there now and it runs fine.

Er...I think its just you. I have a eVGA nForce4 SLI board with a Maxtor 250GB SATA HD and it works just fine.

2 days ago I was in the same situation, ended up buying the WD drive. The drive is too new to have any professional reviews done, but storage review has a review up of the 2500ks which still uses the 83gb platters and 16mb cache. The consensus was that with bigger platters, it would be the fastest 7200rpm sata drive out there... the 3200ks is the same thing except with 107gb platters... should be really nice.

Also zipzoomfly has this drive for $140.99 with free second day shipping
