Can someone explain to me the difference between sata150 and sataII? I tried to figure it out but I can't find it anywhere. Thanks.

ah ok if a motherboard supports sata it will support either right?
Edit: Nevermind, it specifically says sata2. Alright that was easy enough, thanks.

The 300MB/s transfer rate is a joke, there still isn't a drive made that can overrun the ATA100 spec. But I think sataII includes NCQ.

It is 300MB's for all drives IIRC. The SATA interface is shared between multiple drives. Its not merely 300mb/s for each drive. I remember hearing that somewhere but i could be wrong.

It's 300MB/s per channel. No SATA RAID can top 150. :p

ATAPI drive support is also supposed to be included in SATA II. And there are drives that can outrun 100MB/sec - but they are SCSI...
