... to TURN OFF RAID if you're using a single drive. Why RAID is on by default was just as stupid as not giving you any warnings in the manual.

Oh well.... thanks to MechBgon I'm now running off a fresh install on my SATA drive. 🙂
 
Dont forget to set as bootable, should be a shortcut while booting that you need to press to enter the raid config.

Wow.... I thought RAID configs would only be for just that - RAID!

So there's some bootable options in there? Sheesh... stupid manual didn't say that.
 
Well it's in the bios and bios are diffrent of course...
But... Try looking for "Boot other devices" ~and or~ "Boot sequence (like what boots first CDROM-Floppy) and select Raid if not SCSI as the first boot device.

I don't think I have options for RAID or SCSI. 🙁
 
What exactly is the error you are getting while booting? Also, are you only using one sata harddrive? And you say XP setup recognizes it and installs normally? Is it after the first reboot during the install process that you receive the error?
