Just got a new Hatachi Sata drive and all went well on the load (after I fugered out to hit F6 to load the sata drivers) of Xp on the new drive, got all the updates and new drivers( vid card and sound and 4in1) but once i unplugged the old IDE it wont boot any more says no system disk plug the ide back in and it works. It does make me select the dive like dual boot but still it works. Mobo is an epox 8k9a2+ kt-400 just put on newest bios and still nothing..

The boot is probably on the old drive even if you put XP on the new drive. Remove the old drive altogether, and start from scratch again with only one drive.

What Markfw900 stated esp if you unplugged the PATA drive and had the boot off of SATA enabled
