Guys,
I recently did a system upgrade, to an EPoX 4PDA2+ board. Right now I have my 40GB Samsung SP drive on the primary channel of the onboard High Point 372 controller. I'm considering getting a larger capacity drive - likely SATA. My board has four SATA connectors - two from a Silicon Image 3112 controller and two from an Intel ICH5/R controller.
Does it make any practical difference which of the two controllers I might choose? Does one perform any better than the other? Is one more "issue-free" than the other?
TIA,
Jeff
