SATA to IDE convertors, Bootable ??

My Mobo dont support a Sata drive, but i got a Sata hard disk. so i need the Sata Hd be converted to IDE.

I see lots of convertors. But the prob is it should work as my main (and only) Hard disk, so it should be bootable, reliable and can install OS's to it.

I tried a SATA->USB 2.0 convertor it shows in the bootable list in bios and all that, but when i try to install windowsXP to it, setup says it cant. It can only be used as a storage device.

So can the SATA -> IDE convertor make a sata Hard disk into a normal IDE hard disk with all IDE facilities ?

Please help me with ur ideas.

Thanks.

Get the proper drive. I got a couple of the converters and they've been nothing but headaches. They error often and they are very slow.
