SATA To IDE Converters...

Too lazy to edit, but: Why would you want to do this? The only reason I would think of wanting this is for RAID, or if your IDE controllers went fubar'd.

Smaller cables.

This one came with my Abit mobo. Not sure where to buy it seperately but the packaging makes it look like it's available. The couple times I've used it, I didn't have any issues.

If you have an Abit MOBO, the Serillel converter (made by/for Abit) is the only one that will work. Saw an awful lot of complaining about that on the Abit forum.

I ran out of ports and I have another IDE HD that I need to hook up. Smaller cables are a plus too, as the guts of the thing are getting a bit tangled. Probably just going to go with a RAID card at this point, since the local store only has IDE to SATA convertors and I don't want to wait on an item being shipped. If I have a slot available for the card, that is. I need to open things up again and see.
