I have an Asus K8N-E Deluxe and want to run a raid config for two drives and an extra spare drive for storage. The board has six sata connectors. Four labled "sata raid" and two labled "sata". I set up WinXP on two WD raptors in raid 0 in two of the four "sata raid" connectors, no problems. In the bios boot setup, I have the raid config set up as my first boot with 2nd and 3rd boots disabled. Now, I have a 250g sata drive I want to use as storage. When I plug it into one of the two "sata" connectors and boot....the bios removes the raid config automatically from the boot sequence and puts the 250g drive as the first boot. With the 250g drive plugged in the raid choice in the bios boot setup disappears. When I unplug the 250g drive, the raid reappears as the first boot in the bios and boots xp successfully
. I have the latest drivers and bios.
